Player Summary
Lomu is a solid floor pass protecting LT coming out of Utah, with the potential to become a high end overall starter due to his frame and coachable deficits. Whats hurting him most in the run game is need for more upperbody strength, lack of polish in getting to his positions, maintaining pad level, and really sustaining those blocks. The good news is, those are fixable traits with more experience and mass. His athleticism stands out in his footwork, and his hand usage is very good, he just has to sync them up better. Mentality wise, he does show the right attitude in Pass Pro, hopefully see more of a mauler mentality in run when he gets the size on him. He also remains calm in blitz, reacting to moves with poise. A little more of a development project than most 1st rounders, but what a player needs to show in college he's shown and his deficits are manageable ones, so expect to see him off the board before Day 2.
