Player Summary
Freeling is a traits guy with a high ceiling and questionable floor. He doesn't bring day 1 starter ability, but could very well be a high end starter with coaching and added size. He's got an elite frame and high end athletic traits. His quickness allows him to make the first move most of the time and get into position and even without the desired mass he can hold a functional anchor against the bull rush. But he has a lot to work on. He doesn't use his hands independently, nor does he have a diverse approach to using them. He plays stiff/upright, which causes him to lunge and lean. Edges with a good PR plan confound him. He did show improvement throughout the year, but his lack of experience shows up on tape. With his traits, some team will be willing to use an early pick on him, and it may pay off big time, but they'll need to be patient. Mel Kiper is crazy high on him right now, but I don't see the reason yet. Slot him in at late 1st to early 2nd due to his upside and thin options at Tackle in the NFL.
