Ionae is the top interior Olineman coming into this draft. He bring the desired build and a rock solid floor especially in pass pro. With strong hands, combined with a natural use of hips to deliver power, he can create movement on the line as well as anchor effectively against bull rushes. He lacks the desired athleticism and his foot speed shows up against interior speed and a lack of ability to make needed adjustments. Mentally, theres some concern about his ability to read and react to stunting linemen. His lack of athleticism also shows up in his ability to deal with moving targets. Daniel Jeremiah is surprisingly high on him, calling him the best offensive lineman in the draft, but his upside seems limited by that athleticism. Nevertheless, seems like a day 1 starter with the potential to be a long time quality starter. Should also be noted he achieved very good PFF grades playing in the Big 10.
